Outside everything is covered in a thick layer of snow. When the sun starts to set, the snow gets an sparkling icy blue gleam. There's nothing better at this time of year then looking out of your window with a steaming cup of tea in your hands, enjoying this gorgeous sight!

With winter on my doorstep all I can think about lately seems to be the holydays, prepping up the home, thinking about setting festive tables, gift wrapping, wintery recipes, lots of tea and mulled wine and hot coco, and making life lovely.

The cold outside is nearly unbearable, so inside it must be as comfortable as possible! I would love to come home in homes like the ones above. All the powdery pink warm and cozy loveliness makes me gloom!

Here is your weekly portion of beautiful tea! This week we want to dream away with the silly idea that winter can be as light, bright and gentile as it looks in these photos! Autumn is getting pretty dark here and it is starting to work on my mood. And not in a good way, I can tell you! I'm having a little Autumn dip and am not sure how to make it go away. Going to bed at 9pm every day with a large cup of coco and a good read is simply not an option, there is also the dishes, laundry, work, grocery shopping and all that and more, that is crying for attention.

What are your cures to dark day dips?

Bonne nuit mes belles!

It has just turned Saturday, so it is a late post. But this late hour totally suits this marvelous coat! Imagine you went a night to the opera and to the Grand Café afterwards for a glass of champagne, talking to the best looking men in town, and driving home in a vintage style classy cab at the end of the evening!

I know I want this coat of Oscar de la Renta (pre-fall 2010), however, it might be just a teeny tiny bit out of my budget. Ahum.

Tea Tuesday London Style

I have arrived back home from London! I had a great time, walking trough Hide Park, going to the shops, strolling trough the streets, exploring the mysterious world of the subway and visiting museums. In the Victorie & Albert Museum I found this delightfull collection of porcelain, including lots of cups, creamers and teapots, but also little figurines. England is probably the best country for drinking tea: they serve tea with fresh whole milk and in LARGE cups. They know exactly how to do these things, no nonsense with tine cups and condensed milk.
I really lost my heart to this city and I can't wait to find an excuse to travel there again!

As promised your weekly dose of fashion: I am personally a huge fan of fur! I love the way it looks and feels: so elegant, sophisticated and yet cosy and warm! Of course the downside is the way the cute little animals that provide this coat are treated... So I don't think I'll ever be able to buy myself something else than the faux-version, wich is off course less pretty!

But still, a girl can dream ;)

The leaves of the trees in our street have all turned yellow by now. I felt inspired by this titian splendour, so I thought I'd share some yellow prettyness with you. The layer cake by Sweet Paul is my personal feel-good favorite! It looks so yummy, I can't wait to try the recipe myself ;)

Mine was very busy, included a lot of traveling, work but also meeting friends and going out for drinks and shopping too!
I will celebrate this week with a glass of wine, a good movie, wearing my new pyjamas, and going to bed early with a god book. And with enjoying this collection of amazing photos. They are so pieceful and so much what I want the coming weekend to feel like.

Last weekend I went shopping in Antwerp with the girls. After spending all our money in the better highstreet-stores (COS, Zara, Urban Outfitters and H&M) we went for a little windowshopping at Max Azria, Cocodrillo, Burberry and Essentiel...Oh! If only our budgets were less limited ;)
